OUT4TENNIS is Ireland 's LGBT tennis network. It was conceived by Roy Galvin and Frank Kelly over Christmas (drinks!) in 2004 and the first-known Irish gay tennis tournament was held in Tipperary in May 2005 with players travelling from Dublin , Cork , Waterford , Meath, Kildare and elsewhere.

Since the inaugural tournament, we have now developed a series of
tournaments around Ireland together with a series of visits to overseas gay tournaments in the UK and Europe. Details are posted on the TOURNAMENTS page.

Unlike other groups, OUT4TENNIS is a network with members stretching from Belfast to Cork , and Ballina to Dublin . Most competitive members are players with their own clubs while social members may be more occasional players.
